Arun Community Week

In the autumn of 2008, peaceworks teamed up with Arun District Council and the Arun Community Cohesion Group to run 'Arun Peace Week' - the first ever initiative of its kind in Bognor Regis and surrounding areas. Arun Peace Week ran from 15^th to 23^rd November 2008 and was set up to celebrate Arun's diversity, promote cultural understanding, and bring communities together. Twelve organisations ran eighteen events across the week ranging from sports and poetry to music and dance, and approximately 1,600 people were involved in the events - that is over 1% of Arun district's population!

Arun Peace Week has now become Arun Community Week, and is run as an annual autumn event for Bognor Regis and the surrounding areas.
